Hello, I am Unnati, 44, from Mumbai. This story is about when I was around 35 and was a housewife. I am a regular reader of XIS stories and would like to share one of my experiences with you.
My husband was 41, and he was also from Mumbai. He worked in a company as a regional manager and used to be on tours for almost half a month to 20 days.
Let me tell you about myself. I am 5’.4’’ tall, having a figure of 34-32-34.
Coming to the story, this was around Diwali and had festive vibes. As we lived in a housing complex, I had a group of lady friends. The majority of them were housewives. We had started a kitty group and were enjoying the parties for 9 months.
Kitty party was where all ladies would share part of their personal lives with the group. Chatting and gossiping and having lunch or brunch. We were a group of 8. All were supportive in thick or thin situations. Out of them, I was close to Poonam as she resided in the same wing. Other ladies hailed from other wings.
Poonam is also a housewife. She is 5’3 having stats 32-32-34. She has a beautiful face, but her figure is like an average housewife. She is modern yet mature by nature. She has that elegance in her.
Though she is on the shorter side and has an average figure, she has a beautiful soul. She graduated from a second-tier city, after which she got married and settled here in Mumbai with her husband. She was new in town.
Our husbands were close friends and used to drink together on occasion. Due to this, I was introduced to Poonam. Her husband advised her to take my help if required. This brought a smile to her face. She was relieved as she did not know much about Mumbai and our locality.
We went to Mumbai darshan, and I saw the happiness and excitement in her. She used to send me some delicious food on some occasions. She was a great cook too.
On the occasion of Diwali, the kitty party was hosted at my place. The mood was festive, and all were enjoying it. But I was missing out on something somewhere. Poonam noticed something was amiss.
As I was in the kitchen managing arrangements, Poonam caught hold of me and asked what was wrong with me. I was dull, and she sensed something was not going right with me. At that time, I was sceptical should I confide in her. I informed her all was good.
She knows me in and out. She told me she would help me to wind up after the kitty, and we will spend some time together. I was ok as it would help me a bit. The maid was on leave due to the festive season, and I was all alone.
Poonam’s husband was also a businessman. It was their peak season. So her husband would arrive late at night, so she was also free.
Once the kitty ended, I thanked everyone, and we shared some hampers. Poonam was the last one. She informed her other friends she would help me to wind up things. So now we were cleaning up the house and kitchen.
Poonam brought leftovers and dishes from the hall to the kitchen, and I cleaned utensils. Poonam was done with her work. She stood by me while I was cleaning utensils and asked me what was going on with my life.
Let me tell you that other women can sense things faster than our counterparts. I initially ignored her and told her all was good with me. She answered, “All is good with everyone on earth, but I know there’s something else.”
As we are close, I can share it with her. Let me tell you that we shared everything. But no one shares 100 per cent. But I was so emotionally drained I gave up and spoke up that there was nothing in bed. She understood what I meant.
She advised me to arrange something romantic when he comes, spice up my clothing for him and other ideas. I told her, “Don’t you think I would have tried this?” Then she showed concern.
Poonam, too, went through this a couple of years ago. I asked her what she did to get her smile back and glow on her skin. She gently smiled, but I could also sense something else with her. Till then, I finished my dishwashing, and Poonam was preparing coffee for us.
Poonam said, “Let’s sit and talk in the hall with coffee.” So now we were in the hall and sipping coffee. I asked Poonam what was on with her. Poonam was in the same mental situation that would she confide with me.
She kept the cup of coffee on the tee-poy, and I was done with my coffee. She held my hand and was crying, literally sobbing. I could not understand what to do. I immediately got up, brought her a glass of water, and gave her a drink.
She felt good but was in deep emotional pain. She was in her thoughts about where to start. I asked her, “Is everything ok?” She came back to her senses. It was approximately 2 pm in the noon. I asked her if she was free we could unwind ourselves with some light spirits.
She thought for a while and contacted her husband that she was at my place and till when he would arrive. He replied he would be getting late today as it was Diwali peak season. He was having a great day at work.
He approved her to stay with me and spend some festive time. He knew my family, and we were family friends.
So here we were, two lonely souls sharing our lives. Now, I played some classic Bollywood instrumental songs with a light notes to make up the mood. I opened up a great Sula Brut Tropical, and we were enjoying our drinks with the curtains closed.
Then the tale of Poonam began.
So my story subscribers and followers, please be patient. Can you guess what happens next? Would Poonam confide with me? What are her secrets? Mail your guesses, suggestions and feedback to me on [email protected]. Read my other story as well.
